Jean Lambrechts
Jean Lambrechts studied Composition in Brussels and Paris, where André Jolivet was his most important teacher. He also studied conducting and regularly performs as pianist.
As composer he is a follower of “la Jeune France” and tries to realize a combination of tradition and new ideas: his style varies from (neo) tonality to serial composition.
So far he composed a large and varied oeuvre. His instrumentation is colourful and virtuoso.
