Johann Christian Bach
Johann Christian Bach was the youngest son of Johann Sebastian Bach. He made his career in Hamburg and London, where he died.
He composed works for all genres, but is one of the first composers of his generation, who wrote a considerable oeuvre in Harmoniemusik. Also in this case he must have had a great influence on the young Mozart for whom he was mentor/teacher when the Mozart family visited England in 1764-1765: Mozart’s early Harmoniemusik strongly resembles Bach’s achievements.
